Capacious (adjective)– able to hold or contain a lot; large in capacity
I’m a big fan of Bill Bryson and read A Walk in the Woods a while ago. I recently listened to the audio version of it. He used the word capacious twice. When Bryson and his hiking companion Katz arrived in Waynesboro, VA, the latter met a large woman who owned a pair of pink capacious underwear. Later in their journey to hike the Appalachian Trail, Katz suggested they walk across the Maine wilderness with a newspaper delivery bag since it’s light-weight, capacious, and waterproof.
